Ferry

Ferry service is carried out between the towns of Marina di Ravenna and Porto Corsini through the Canale Candiano. The service, working around 7,500 hours a year, is carried out by motor-ferries for the transport of people and motor vehicles.

Service timetable

This service works every day, during the winter from 5:00 a.m. to 00:30 a.m.; in the summer from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. In case of reduced traffic service is guaranteed with departures every 15 minutes to the utmost.
In case of severance due to bad weather or other causes, transfer of pedestrians from one shore to the other by means of buses on road is assured (with no extra charges as to Ferry Service fares).

In case of strike, normal ferry service is guaranteed in the following time slots as scheduled:
1^st slot: from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.;
2^nd slot: from 12:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m., with an interruption and subsequent resumption at the quay of Port Corsini.

Summer timetable

Summer timetable in effect from September 10^th 2023, service is available daily from 5:00 am to 00:30 am.

The service starts and finishes in Porto Corsini.

Where to buy the tickets

Automatic ticket machines
The following tickets can be bought from the automatic ticket machines:
• Pre-boarding paper ticket for pedestrians, cyclists and motorbikes
• 30-day season ticket for pedestrians and cyclists
• 40-ride contactless card for motorbikes and cars.
Tickets can be bought using debit or credit cards.
Tickets, cards and season tickets issued by the machine must be validated using the readers in the boarding area or on the ferry or by the staff on board.

Authorised dealers
Season tickets and contactless tickets for pedestrians and cyclists, motorbikes, cars, trailers, campers, trucks and buses can be bought from authorised dealers. Season tickets and cards must be validated each time they are used as provided for and indicated on the ticket itself.

Sailors on board
The following tickets can be bought from the staff on board:
• On-board tickets for pedestrians, cyclists or motorbikes
• On-board tickets for cars, trailers, campers, trucks and buses.
Tickets sold by the sailors on board are already validated.

Operators on land
At particularly busy times, tickets can also be bought before boarding from staff on the quays. The tickets issued by the staff on land do not need to be validated.

DropTicket and myCicero App
Using the smartphone App, you can buy:
• Tickets for pedestrians and cyclists, mopeds and motorbikes, cars and trucks
• 40-ride card for cars and trucks.
Using DropTicket, tickets can be bought using telephone credit without a credit card. Tickets bought using MyCicero can be validated using the reader either on board or on land before boarding.

How the tickets work

Contactless cards should be touched on the reader for validation. Paper tickets with a QR code should be touched to the reader at the bottom for scanning.
