Buy tickets and subscriptions or renew your travel pass quickly and easily. In this section you can discover how and where to purchase Start Romagna tickets and subscriptions, and how to renew annual and monthly passes online.

First Purchase of Annual and Monthly Passes

The first purchase of annual and monthly passes must be made exclusively at one of the Start Romagna Ticket Offices (Punto Bus) .

Purchasing an annual or monthly subscription requires issuing the personal Mi Muovo card (microchip card with multi-year validity). The first issue costs €5.00.

How to Make Your First Purchase
  • Visit any Start Romagna Punto Bus ticket office.
  • Request the Mi Muovo card (bring a recent passport photo if required).
  • Select the annual or monthly subscription you need.
  • The pass will be electronically loaded onto your Mi Muovo card.

Renewal of Annual and Monthly Subscriptions

You may renew your subscription online or at any Punto Bus ticket office.

Online Renewal

Under 26 annual subscriptions can be renewed online (except those with additional integrations covered by institutions).

Please check whether you are eligible for any discounts or concessions before renewing.

Enter your Mi Muovo card number in the online renewal service and follow the instructions to complete payment and activate the pass.
Renewal at Punto Bus Ticket Offices

Annual subscriptions can be renewed at any Punto Bus Start Romagna .

Bring your Mi Muovo microchip card, as the subscription is electronically loaded onto the card.

Tax Deductions

The 2018 Budget Law allows taxpayers to deduct 19% of expenses for public transport subscriptions up to a maximum of €250 per year.

Who Can Request the Deduction

To qualify, the payment must be made using traceable methods (debit card, credit card, or prepaid card).

Tax deductions apply to:

  • expenses paid directly by the taxpayer for their own subscription;
  • expenses paid for fiscally dependent family members.

Keep both the subscription ticket and the payment documentation (recharge receipt / subscription issue + POS proof).

Pre-Filled Tax Return & Opposition

Pre-filled Tax Return

Starting from 1 January 2025, as required by ruling no. 354629 of 4 October 2023, subscription purchase transactions will be communicated by Start Romagna to the Italian Revenue Agency. These data will be included in the pre-filled tax return of the following year.

Transactions concerned include:

  • online purchases (e-commerce);
  • purchases via app;
  • POS payments at Start Romagna ticket offices (dedicated counter).

Opposing the Automatic Inclusion of Data

You can oppose the automatic inclusion of your data in two ways:

1. Through Start Romagna

  • Fill in the objection form (download).
  • Send the form with your ID to: ufficio-commerciale@startromagna.it.
  • Submit it at the time of purchase or by 31 December of the year in which the expense was incurred.

2. Through the Italian Revenue Agency

Important: not entering your tax code (codice fiscale) during the online renewal process on the Start Romagna website is not sufficient to prevent your data from being sent automatically to the Revenue Agency.
