Good practices for travelling by bus
The bus belongs to everyone – let’s use it the right way. A Start Romagna campaign to promote good manners, civic sense and safety on board, with a series of short videos especially designed for students.
Campaign videos
The campaign “The bus belongs to everyone – use it the right way” includes four short videos: each of them shows everyday situations and small gestures that make the bus journey more pleasant and safer for everyone.
From your tone of voice to how you use space on board: good manners help everyone feel better on the bus.
Giving up your seat, keeping aisles clear, helping someone in need: kindness travels with you.
Holding on properly, not distracting the driver, reporting risky situations: everyone can play their part in keeping the bus safe.
From boarding to getting off, a few suggestions to make the journey easier for you and everyone else.
The bus belongs to everyone: what you can do
Good practices on board start from small actions that have an immediate impact on the comfort and safety of the people travelling with you.
- wait in line and let people get off before you get on;
- keep your voice down, especially at peak times;
- keep backpacks and bags close to you, without blocking seats or aisles;
- leave your seat to older people, people with disabilities or adults with small children;
- do not block the doors and avoid distracting the driver while driving.
Correct and cooperative behaviour makes the bus more welcoming and safer. These may seem like small attentions, but together they improve the travel experience for the whole community.
